Nine wins major sports week

Ratings: Seven came back strong, but not enough to halt Nine's winning week.

State of Origin led a week chockful of sports offerings including AFL, NRL, Wimbledon, Tour de France, ICC Cricket World Cup and a soccer exhibition game.

Seven came back strong on Friday and Saturday but it wasn’t enough to halt Nine’s week with Origin and a finale for The Voice.

New SBS World Movies channel had its best nights on Friday & Saturday, which could settle in as its regular best.

Seven won in Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth. Nine owned Sydney & Brissy.

Nine led on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Seven claimed Monday, Friday & Saturday. ABC bettered 10 only on Saturday.
