Netflix dystopian teen drama The Society has been renewed for a second season.
Starring Kathryn Newton and Aussie Toby Wallace (Romper Stomper, Never Tear Us Apart, Neighbours), the series centres around a group of teenagers are mysteriously transported to a facsimile of their town.
This premiered in May and will return in 2020.

I didn’t mind The Society, the beginning was like watching Steven King’s ‘The Dome’ without the dome. The shows main cast are attractive enough to find a following with some strong female leadership roles, which is the trend nowadays, and for those who watch a bit too much TV a somewhat predictable story arc with the twist at the end which most would have expected. Things are obviously going to get tougher in season 2 but if I was an adviser I would keep this show to just two seasons or it will die a slow aimless death like The Dome.
