Returning: Australian Survivor

Latest season of Logie-winning reality show to launch in two weeks time.

10 has confirmed the new season of Australian Survivor: Champions v Contenders will launch on a Wednesday in late July.

Jonathan LaPaglia is again host for the Logie-winning series produced by Endemol Shine Australia in Savusavu, Fiji.

Confirmed participants include:

Janine Allis, Boost Juice CEO, Shark Tank
Steven Bradbury, Olympic speedskater
Andrew Ettingshausen, ex NRL player, TV host
Susie Maroney, marathon swimmer
Ross-Clarke-Jones, surfer
Nova Peris, Olympic hockey player, ex politician
Simon Black, ex-AFL

Contenders:

Sarah Ayles, cleaner
Matty Farrelly, pro wrestler
John Eastoe, gold miner
Daisy, travel agent

The show is tipped to continue on Thursdays.

7:30pm Wednesday July 24 on 10.

  1. I’m a big fan of the US version and believe the Aus version is a quality production, but I won’t watch it. Why, well I gave last season a go and from memory it started out being 2 nights a week and then went to 4. That’s overkill for me and I lost interest pretty quickly. Looking forward to my 1 night a week of the US version when it returns, which for me is the perfect amount.

    1. Completely disagree. Airing 2-3 times a week means the series plays out in almost real time and with 24 eps in an Aussie season sustaining interest over 6 months would be a big ask.

      You also have to look at the market where sadly it is all about reality shows stripped across multiple nights rather than multiple shows in weekly slots like the US.

  2. Oh, thank god! With no end apparent in sight for Masterchef, I was losing hope the ads were anything more than teasers for August. Can’t wait. Also can’t wait for The Bachelor.
