Season 2 of serial killer drama Mindhunter begins on Netflix in mid-August.
The series stars Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany has been a long time coming, after its initial release in October 2017 and renewed a month later.
The second season is thought to pick up between 1979 and 1981, a couple of years after Season 1, and is expected to focus on the Atlanta child murders, where at least 28 people were thought to have been murdered in a short period of time.
The new season will also feature Aussie Damon Herriman as the notorious Charles Manson.
Friday August 16 on Netflix.

Glad i only got onto this show late last year, not as long a wait for me. If the same quality continues it will be worth the wait, great show especially for us true crime fans.
Period dramas do take some time to make and there’s also the availability of the principle actors as well. Perhaps two years ago Netflix should have considered making two seasons of Mindhunter so that Season two was released the following year, Mindhunter ticked all the boxes in its first few episodes back in 2017, now all this time has passed and fans have got to refresh their interest in the show. The new season time shift does suggest how adaptable Mindhunter is, which is reminiscent of X Files, there must be other evil angels other than Charles Manson, but we’ll see what happens.
Well about time!!! Not sure why so long between seasons but if there’s a season 3 they need to make it faster.
