UK picks up The Hunting, My Life is Murder.

SBS and 10 dramas will have broadcasts in the UK.

New Aussie dramas  have been picked up in the UK.

SBS drama The Hunting will screen on Channel 5 later this year. Set to premiere on SBS on August 1, the series from A Closer Production stars Richard Roxburgh and Asher Keddie and looks at the the aftermath of a nude photo scandal.

10’s new procedural, My Life is Murder, from from CJZ , will screen on UKTV’s Alibi in September.

Nicky Davies Williams, CEO at DCD Rights, said, “Australian drama has had somewhat of a renaissance lately and The Hunting and My Life is Murder are prime examples of how the Australian content industry is still in its ascendency. Both these series are perfect for prime-time schedules in the UK and we are delighted that UK viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy Australian drama at its best.”

  1. I think that Australian productions are being watched more and more by international broadcasters and there is a changing landscape, for the better, for our productions. Looking forward to more!
