US actor, best known for The Fly & Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, has died.

US actor David Hedison, best known for The Fly and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, has died aged 92.

He died on July 18 in Los Angeles, but the cause has not been revealed.

Hedison played scientist Andre Delambre in The Fly in 1958 turning into an insect in an experiment gone wrong. He also had a supporting role in the Bond films Live and Let Die and License to Kill as CIA agent Felix Leiter.

He portrayed Captain Lee Crane in the 1960s sci-fi television series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and roles on soap and melodramas such as The Young and the Restless, Another World, Hotel, The Colbys, Dynasty, Love American Style plus The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Charlie’s Angels, Wonder Woman, Knight Rider and more.
