  1. Ten have to make the long term investment at some point to move news back to 6pm. It was getting 700s not that long ago. If you can’t beat em join em and wait for the numbers to improve. Celeb name game / pointless/ f feud at 5.30 and news at 6pm.

    1. They certainly need to get the numbers up for the 6-7.30pm period. 7 & 9 deliver 1mil plus to the next show airing whereas The Project lucky to deliver 500k. Makes it hard for the likes of MasterChef & Survivor to claw that audience to them. The Project is to long and has 2 many presenters. Cut it back to the half hour and have the 2 main hosts plus one more. Maybe move news to 6pm as suggested.

  2. One of the issues I have with Celebrity Name Game if you have to completely focus on it to follow it. It’s not something you can have on in the background because it becomes a bit like hearing half of someone’s phone conversation. So perhaps that is part of the reason it isn’t rating very well.

  3. Loving that Celebrity Name Game seems to be rating less, now that TV’s Grant Denyer is back !!
Bring back Rove, or better still Bring back Pointless.
I quite like CNG and don’t mind Grant, but calling himself “TV’s Grant” is very off putting and smug of him and that Lightning rubbish scene is embarrassing !!

      1. Interesting, I just took it as a nod to the US host of CNG as in on The Late Late Show Craig Fergson used to start with Welcome to the Late Late Show, I am your host TV’s Craig Ferguson …. and did so for it’s entire run from 2005 to 2014, so thought maybe he did it on his version of CNG as well.

      1. No one wants to watch game shows at 6pm! Move on, Ten. You’d win a lot more nights with a stronger offering between 6 and 7. Nine and Seven’s news rate that high because they’ve got the slot completely to themselves. Even 400,000 viewers for Ten’s news would be better than what’s being delivered now.

          1. Get what you’re saying but Ten has a genuine point of difference if they returned their news to 6. They have very marketable female fronted news around the country and it wouldn’t take that much to steal a little off Nine and Seven to get more than what they’re currently getting. 200K at 6pm from game shows and not much more from The Project’s first half hour is unsustainable and a drag on the whole night. They should roll the dice. Sandra Sully and Jennifer Keyte in particular are wasted out of prime time. It would take some time but the only way is up!
