10 locks onto Pilot Week from September 8

Showcase of comedy, observational and reality titles will test the waters on 10 next month.

10 has confirmed Sunday September 8 as the launch of is 2019 Pilot Week showcase, a mix of comedy, observational and reality titles.

Screening this year are Part Time Private Eyes, I Am…Roxy, Sydney’s Crazy Rich Asians and My 80 Year Old Flatmate, including from producers CJZ, Matchbox Pictures and Screentime.

Pilot Week will test whether audiences have an appetite for more episodes.

But Catfish Australia, which was previously announced with Casey Donovan, is now off the list.

A Network 10 spokesperson said: “We swear, we didn’t Catfish you! Unfortunately, Catfish Australia is no longer part of our 2019 Pilot Week schedule. We cast out a line, but didn’t have the right bait to catch you a catfish in time.”

From undercover mothers to geriatric landlords, we’re bringing you a fresh line-up of pilots, and giving you a say in what will return for a full season. We’ll be looking at ratings and listening to the chatter to gauge which of the Pilots you want to see back on your screen.

Last year Trial By Kyle, Saturday Night Rove, Taboo and Kinnie Tonight were all green-lit for a season.

Will the lavishly ludicrous life of PR maven Roxy Jacenko in I Am…Roxy leave you wanting more? Are the larger than life antics, and bank accounts, of Sydney’s Crazy Rich Asians what viewers want to see? Will My 80 Year Old Flatmate melt your heart? Or will you want to join Nicola Parry and Heidi Arena for a stakeout in Part Time Private Eyes?

The choice is yours and you’ll be able to make it soon. So buckle up and get ready for something different.

  1. I think Pilot week is innovative and iff it keeps delivering 10 should stick with it. However TEN’s bigger issue is 10Allaccess and 10play, both need to be better if 10 is to take it up to two other networks.

  2. I think Part Time Private Eyes is the only one in there that has a good potential to be made a full series…but I still have hopes for ‘Sydney’s Crazy Rich Asians’. We haven’t seen much of My 80 Year-Old Flatmate yet, would like to see more of it.

  3. Catfish Australia would have been awesome! Maybe they could still have done it, it could have been re-worked to be a celebrity who has been catfished in the past, maybe to help them find out who did it or to help them find another mate… Hope 10 keep Casey & Patrick, maybe for hosts for another show in the near future?
