Airdate: Collingwood: From The Inside Out

An ABC doco profiles the Magpies and tracks the rebuilding of the club during the 2018 AFL season.

Heads up Collingwood fans with a documentary that profiles the AFL club and  tracks the rebuilding of the club during the 2018 AFL season.

Collingwood: From The Inside Out charts the club’s fortunes from crisis mode to the MCG on that final Saturday in September.

At the start of the 2018 season, frustrated supporters and media were calling for Collingwood Football Club’s coach Nathan Buckley to be sacked. However, ‘Bucks’ was determined to turn the club around. Known for being a hard taskmaster he adapted his approach and set about changing the club and its culture. And the players responded – on-field results started to improve as the players began to believe in themselves.

Nathan Buckley and players Brodie Grundy, Jarryd Blair and Adam Treloar open up about the physical, mental and emotional challenges faced throughout the year.

Collingwood: From The Inside Out shows the human face of football, the impact the pursuit of excellence at the elite level can have on players and coaches, and how Collingwood rebuilt to bring about change and success.

Written and Directed by: Josh Cable and Marcus Cobbledick. Co-producer: Josh Cable. Producers: Nick Batzisas and Charlotte Wheaton. Executive Producer: Virginia Whitwell. Editor: Alex Archer. Good Things Productions.
