Airdate: Why Women Kill

New US series from Marc Cherry comes to 10 All Access, with a preview episode at 10 Play.

New US dark comedy-drama Why Women Kill is coming to 10 All Access on Friday, same day as the US.

The new weekly series from Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids), stars Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.

The first episode will also be available on 10 Play from Friday, 16 August for two weeks only.

Why Women Kill follows the lives of three women living in three different decades: a housewife in the 1960s, a socialite in the 1980s and a lawyer in 2019, each dealing with infidelity in their marriages.

The deliciously dark series will examine how the roles of women have changed over the decades, but how their reaction to betrayal has not.

Playing 1960s housewife Beth Ann Stanton is Ginnifer Goodwin. Best known for her roles in HBO’s Big Love and ABC’s Once Upon a Time, Ginnifer can be seen in 10 All Access’ The Twilight Zone. Her film credits include the animated film Zootopia, Walk the Line, Killing Kennedy, Mona Lisa Smile, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton, Something Borrowed and He’s Just Not That Into You.

Starring as 1980s socialite Simone Grove is critically-acclaimed actress Lucy Liu. For six seasons, Lucy has co-starred in Network 10’s highly praised drama Elementary as Dr. Joan Watson, alongside Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes. Lucy’s other television credits include Southland, Ally McBeal, Cashmere Mafia, Dirty Sexy Money and guest-starring roles in Sex and the City and Ugly Betty.

And representing the woman of today, Taylor Harding is Kirby Howell-Baptiste. Kirby has starred in three of television’s most celebrated series: Barry, Killing Eve and The Good Place. Kirby was nominated for a 2019 SAG Award for her role on Barry, she was a series regular on the first season of BBC America’s Killing Eve, opposite Sandra Oh, and she also guest starred on a multiple episode arc of NBC’s The Good Place.

Starring alongside Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin and Kirby Howell-Baptiste are Jack Davenport (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Pirates Of The Caribbean), Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid’s Tale, Tell Me a Story), Reid Scott (Venom, Veep), Alexandra Daddario (Baywatch, San Andreas), Sadie Calvano (Mom, Melissa & Joey), Leo Howard (Santa Clarita Diet, WTH: Welcome to Howler), Alicia Coppola (Blood & Treasure, Empire) and Katie Finneran (Bloodline, The Michael J. Fox Show).

Why Women Kill is produced by CBS Television Studios and Imagine Television Studios. Creator Marc Cherry executive produces the series alongside Imagine’s Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo and Acme Productions’ Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis. Marc Webb also executive produces and directed the series premiere, as well as one additional episode.

Friday, 16 August on 10 All Access.
