Bachelor leads slot on Wednesday

Ratings: Reality series with Matt Agnew wins its timeslot as 10 pushes Nine back to third place.

The Bachelor season premiere won its timeslot for 10 with a healthy 828,000 viewers and topped the demos.

Although it was down on 2018’s debut with the Honey Badger on 940,000, it helped push 10 into second place overall, with Nine relegated to third.

10’s head of programming Daniel Monaghan: “Audiences have fallen in love with Matt as their 2019 Bachelor. Matt’s journey is just beginning and we can’t wait for audiences to share in his journey to find a love that’s out of this world.”

10 was ahead of Hard Quiz (667,000), 7:30 (660,000), Highway Patrol (534,000), and Young Sheldon (435,000 / 349,000).

Bachelor notwithstanding Mad as Hell led at 8:30pm on 660,000.

Seven network won Wednesday with 26.7% then 10 24.5%, Nine 23.1%, ABC 17.3% and SBS 8.5%.

Seven News was #1 for Seven with 1.03m / 992,000. Home and Away  (712,000) The Chase was 625,000 / 380,000. A Wonder Woman movie drew 329,000.

The Project drew 498,000 / 300,000 then My Life is Murder (416,000), 10 News First (365,000)  and Celebrity Name Game (214,000). An Instinct replay drew 167,000.

Nine News (901,000 / 897,000) led for Nine then A Current Affair (705,000) and Hot Seat (498,000 /295,000). Movie: The Fate of the Furious was 267,000.

ABC News (640,000), Squinters (348,000), Insert Name Here (204,000) and The Drum (169,000) comprised ABC’s other shows.

On SBS it was King Arthur’s Britain (277,000), SBS World News (155,000), Knightfall (105,000) and Mastermind (85,000).

10 Bold’s NCIS topped multichannels at 198,000 again.

  1. I am wondering how Bold ratings are going ?? because the beth baby storyline has gone on way way to long it needs to end soon or as a loyal viewer I will switch off
    how many times can Hope say she lost her child when all the viewers know she has not

  2. The Bachelor scores well for Ten. Enjoyed the ep, Matt very engaging, and some of the crazy girls will make it interesting. Ten does trash TV so well!
