Nine dominates Sunday with Block, Cricket combo.
Ratings: A huge share for 9GEM pushed Nine to a massive 42.7% for Sunday.

Nine drew a whopping 42.7% share on Sunday night thanks to its Reality + Sport offering across multiple channels.
The Ashes Series pulled another massive share for 9GEM at 15.8% -more than 10’s primary channel and the entire output of ABC and SBS. It drew 696,000 across 5 city metro on 9GEM.
Meanwhile The Block pulled 1.09m viewers for Nine and topped the demos.
That was well in front of a tight battle between Australian Survivor (735,000 from 7:30pm) and Australia’s Got Talent (731,000). ABC factual Judi Dench’s Wild Borneo Adventure pulled 411,000 from 7:40pm.
Nine network easily won the night at 42.7% then Seven 24.1%, 10 16.3%, ABC 11.4% and SBS 5.5%.
Nine News drew 1.01m then 60 Minutes (624,000) and Killer in the Family (260,000).
Seven News was #1 at 1.09m for Seven. Sunday Night drew (477,000) and What the Killer Did Next (189,000).
The Sunday Project was 377,000 / 228,000 for 10 then Instinct (272,000 / 133,000), 10 News First (218,000) and Bondi Rescue (139,000).
ABC News (606,000), Les Norton (353,000), Compass (174,000). Sadly Glitch returned to just 142,000.
On SBS it was SBS World News (158,000), Andre the Giant (134,000) and Who Do You Think You Are? (124,000).

ABC returns Glitch at 9.30 – what kind of numbers were they expecting with that late timeslot? Disappointing. Maybe should have been kept to Thursdays where it has always been. On a separate note, I’ve noticed 60 Minutes is now borrowing a trick from ACA, where they promote a story as “coming up” but it’s actually a “preview” for next week
The value of the rights for the Ashes in England must be on the rise with such regular high numbers. What was paid for this series? Surely has to be a real bargain for ch9. Even more so now that the series is in the balance. No one would have ever scripted the overnight drama….
15% drop in audience for AGT from last Sunday, at a time in the series where it should be building.
I keep giving Glitch a chance, but it’s just so badly done. It’s a blend of genre cliches and soap opera.
Loved AusSurvivor last night. Forever keeping us guessing.
Have taped The Block and Glitch for latter viewing (such poor numbers for the latter…a new time slot probably doesn’t help…maybe iView catchup is where the numbers will increase).
What I also find interesting is that all channels combined for Seven were 24.1%, Nine on it’s own was 21.4% so only 2.7% short of beating all 5 of Seven’s channels.
