Peter Helliar comedy series How to Stay Married has been renewed for a second season.
A Network 10 spokesperson told TV Tonight: “We are thrilled to welcome Pete Helliar, Lisa McCune, and the gang, back for another season of How To Stay Married.
“Production kicks off in Melbourne next month.”
The Princess Pictures and Pablo Pictures co-production, based on an episode of It’s a Date, is created by Helliar.
It screened last November and also featured Darren Gilshenan, Nikki Britton and Phil Lloyd.
10’s recent comedy output has included Mr. Black, Kinne Tonight and Street Smart with Part Time Private Eyes due in September’s Pilot Week.

I caught the last few eps of the first season. I’m glad they’re giving it another go.
I like the idea of shows going to air so soon after filming, as is commonplace on U.S. FTA (where the shows are actively in production while the season is airing).
I guess it isn’t completely out of the question that this will premiere in November as well?
Date is TBC. 10 has indicated 50 weeks of programming so anything is possible.
Still waiting patiently for a renewal announcement about the excellent ‘Five Bedrooms’…..
Me too
Surely it has to be renewed. I mean, if ‘How to Stay Married’ was then it should be a foregone conclusion.
I quite enjoyed this show and am glad to see it return.
