Diary of an Uber Driver star Sam Cotton is hooked on High Maintenance, Chernobyl and LEGO Masters.

Here’s what else makes his viewing list.

What’s on your Must See TV list lately and why?
SC:  High Maintenance Season 3 – I feel like this show is unlike anything else on TV. Every episode is like its own brilliant short film with characters that are so intriguing. It’s worth watching just for the performances. Also, I loved Chernobyl, Curb Your Enthusiasm series 9 and Blue Planet 2. Oh and I hear Diary of an Uber Driver is pretty good too!

What are your Guilty Pleasure shows?
SC: I was obsessed with LEGO Masters. It’s the best reality show in years. As an AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO), I really appreciated the talent on that show. Looking forward to the next season! Brick man, if you’re reading this, I’m very open to becoming your apprentice #BrickBoy

What show you would secretly love to appear on?
SC: Curb Your Enthusiasm. It’s on my top 3 list of best shows of all time and Larry David could be my favourite person on Earth. It would be a dream to do a scene with him. If you haven’t watched that show, I highly recommend it, especially if you grew up on Seinfeld like I did. Also, I do some animation and illustration when I’m not acting, and The Simpsons were a massive inspiration for my drawings, so voicing a character on that would be mind-blowing for me.

What shows have you given up watching and why?
SC: I’m a bit of a completion-ist so when I start a show I usually finish it…

Tell us about your character and what we can expect to see on Diary of an Uber Driver.
SC: I play Ben who is an Uber Driver who is somewhat directionless but is forced to start re-evaluating where he’s headed once he finds out that Bec, an old flame of his, is pregnant with his child. So, every passenger that Ben picks up serves as some sort of life lesson that Ben can draw upon to help him navigate his impending fatherhood. As for the show, I believe it is special because we get glimpses into a variety of people’s lives and struggles, so in this one show, we’re able to tell so many different stories. Ranging from a young girl struggling to fit in at school to an old man who has come to terms with the passing of his wife. That’s why I believe our show represents Sydney and Australia unlike any other show before it, because we get snapshot into the dramatically varying lives of the people who live here.

Diary of an Uber Driver airs 9:30pm Wednesday on ABC.
