Zoe Ventoura makes Home & Away debut

Actress Zoe Ventoura makes her Home and Away debut on Thursday night.

The former Packed to the Rafters and Wild Boys star plays Dr Alexandria ‘Alex’ Neilson, new Head of the ER at Northern Districts Hospital.

Her character description is as follows:

Alexandra, who prefers to be called Alex by patients and colleagues alike, is an Emergency Doctor with a specialty in trauma medicine. She arrives in the Bay to cover a maternity leave vacancy and hits the ground running. She’s worked hard for her professional standing so God help anyone who thinks she’s going to be anything other than the capable, intelligent and strong woman that she is. She’s a good boss to those who pull their weight. She has a unique approach to her job, mixing traditional with alternative treatments, so don’t expect her to just write out a prescription for you. She’ll want to know the ‘whole’ you before she makes a diagnosis. Alex’s time in the Bay will test her in ways she never imagined. Professionally, there are challenges here she will have to work hard to overcome. But it’s on a personal level that she’ll be most tried.
