Hamish McLachlan hosts the 2019 Brownlow Medal for the first time next Monday, screening on Seven and 7mate.

Coverage will begin with the Red Carpet at 7:30pm AEST.

Some of the biggest names in the game are highly fancied to take out the medal this year, including previous winners Patrick Dangerfield and Nat Fyfe, young guns Marcus Bontempelli and Patrick Cripps, 2019 Lions recruit Lachie Neale and Magpie ruckman Brodie Grundy.

It will be glamour overload when Seven’s broadcast of the red carpet arrivals gets underway at the Brownlow.

Abbey Gelmi, Josh Gibson, Campbell Brown and Nadia Bartel will showcase all the glitz, colour and elegance as they welcome the stars to football’s night of nights.

AFLW superstar Daisy Pearce will also be speaking with the contenders throughout the count.

Along with the official proceedings, the Brownlow broadcast will also feature: a live performance from Australian singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell a special edition of Roaming Brian the announcement of Goal and Mark of the Year.

  1. I remember from old vision that Peter Landy hosted the brownlow before Bruce. Bruce was hosting it from the 90s onwards over 25 years. now i think it makes sense that Hamish takes over. i would have him host Talking Footy as well, not just Game Day.

    1. In Melbourne, Brownlow first and daylight second, which will give Seven a thumping win… The case every year since the dawn of time.

      But as you say, in terms of the timeslot and 5 city overall, it could be a very big battle between it, Masked Singer premiere and Block!
