Sunday marks 25 years since Friends debuted in the US.

Here’s the scene where Rachel learns Ross has cheated on her.

“I thought we were broken up!” Ross insisted.

“We were on a break!” Rachel replied.

And with that thousands on ’90s relationships were suddenly on shaky ground.

Classic stuff.

  1. I’m currently going through my blu-ray boxset of all the seasons for the fourth time. Still manages guffaws after repeated viewings.
    I love the subtle jokes such as the time Rachel and Monica are hanging out playing a game. The boys walk in. Banter happens. But look closely and the girls are actually playing with a ouija board. Utterly brilliant.

    “Yeah, never cheat on Rachel.”

    Once you know the characters every episode is filled with little quirks, inside jokes and great chemistry between the actors. One of my favourite episodes is another Ross/Rachel one – At the beach house with Ross’ bald girlfriend and Strip Happy Days game!
