Before there were celebs singing in crazy costumes on The Masked Singer there was It Takes Two on Seven, which remarkably ran for three seasons from 2006 to 2008.
Here on a series final Julia Morris and her coach David Hobson sing We Don’t Need Another Hero.
And here is Julia Zemiro performing Careless Whisper with Dave Gleeson (week 1).
Seven even attempted a 5pm edition It Takes Two: Getting Ready, with “an exclusive backstage pass for a unique behind-the-scenes look at our celebrities as they get ready to perform live.”
That ran for two episodes….

The big question though is, will Julia appear on The Mask Singer. Considering she is a 10 personality i would be surprised if she never.
I remember Jolene Anderson getting a single released because of this show. Virginia Gay was also on one season and she was a hoot.
Yes and Erika hyantez was excellent too
I have no memory of this show but I would watch it if it were on
Me two… 7 should bring this back.
I loved this show. Bring it back. It takes twooooooo baby, it takes twooooo baby, just me and you, it just takes two.
Oh man, this, I am not ashamed to say, was once my most favourite show. I was disappointed it only lasted for three seasons. But that’s showbiz for you.
I used to like this show. Julia M and Dave so good and so funny. Definitely agreed with the judges regarding Julia Z’s key being too low at the beginning but still enjoyable to watch. Thanks David.
I remember Julia Z getting such harsh and (in my opinion) extremely unfair judging critiques.
I oddly remember the promo song for this too, already got it stuck in my head! “It takes two baby, it takes me and you” (or something LOL)
