An Australian broadcaster is yet to be announced for The Sounds, a new 8 part thriller commissioned by Acorn Media and New Zealand pay TV operator SKY.
Matt Nable stars in the drama which revolves around a mysterious disappearance in a small town in New Zealand. Rachelle Lefevre (Under the Dome) and Matt Whelan (Narcos) also feature.
The series is created by the author Sarah-Kate Lynch, who serves as the show’s lead writer.
The Sounds is a coproduction between South Pacific Pictures (800 Words) and Toronto-based production studio Shaftesbury. Peter Stebbings will direct with Kelly Martin and Christina Jennings executive producing.
Filming is underway in New Zealand and is expected to be completed by November this year.
