New studio at SKY News Weather

New home and presenter at SKY News Sydney Centre.

SKY News Weather has announced a new weather studio as it marks is 20th year.

It also welcomes Alison Osborne as a broadcast meteorologist. She was previously a Maritime Geospatial Officer with the Royal Australian Navy.

The new weather studio is described as “the most advanced in the country and will broadcast Live rolling updates, extended coverage during severe weather, and cutting-edge temperature and storm forecast graphics to keep Australians up-to-date on local and global weather-related news.”

Having first launched in 1999 under the name ‘Weather 21,’ SKY News Weather now broadcasts more than a thousand forecasts per month along with a wealth of other weather-related programming and an interactive digital weather service. On-air meteorologists include Chief Meteorologist Tom Saunders, Meteorologist Rob Sharpe, and Presenters Jaynie Seal, Samantha Chiari, Kristie Lloyd, Shelley Lee, Rachel Raez and Lucy Polkinghorne.
