    1. It’s only because we wonder why they choose to make it so bloody hard for themselves! Good on them for the experimentation but how much more evidence do you need before you respond? Ten were first with news at 6 way back in the day so they can still happily call themselves Ten News First if that’s what they’re worried about.

  1. Looks like the game show at 6pm for 10 just isn’t working as well as hoped. Would the answer be a simple shuffle of the schedule? 5pm Celebrity Name Game, 5.30pm Ten News First, 6.30 The Project? Or would that be even worse going up directly against The Chase & Hot Seat?

Shame about the Rove news as well.

    1. It seems to be pulling slightly higher numbers on average than Pointless before it, but it is certainly baffling that 10 keep sampling game show after game show only for them to pull similar numbers. It’s been their worst game show thus far as it is not a format that lends itself to audience participation at all. Pointless was a great format but the prize money was too low and 6pm a bad choice of timeslot, particularly as it skews a bit older than the average game show.

10 could try bringing back Neighbours to 6pm on the primary channel, but then they would probably have to renegotiate terms with the producers as 10 are likely paying them less due to it being on a secondary channel.

    2. Be a tough ask at 5pm up against The Chase and Millionaire Hot Seat, though I have been in the past and still am for TEN News going to 5:30pm and feeding into The Project. Just feel as people are getting home at around 5:30pm if they flick on TEN News as it starts there is more chance of people not turning over to the 6pm’s on the other channels with the overlap.

      1. Only problem with this is WIN News in regional areas. It’d have to play at 5 PM then, before 10 News First. Currently it airs at 6 PM, replacing Celebrity Name Game, so it’s after 10’s news.

Would 5 PM be too early for the regional news bulletin?
