Sport strong in ratings week

Ratings: Cricket and AFL underpinned the week for Nine & Seven.

A record multichannel share for Australia’s Ashes win has helped Nine to another winning week.

Cricket drew 810,000 viewers on 9GEM while AFL finals pulled 850,000 on Seven.

10’s Pilot Week saw ok crowds for I Am Roxy and Part Time Private Eyes but Sydney’s Crazy Rich Asians and My 80 Year Old Flatmate struggled in low level timeslots.

Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds led the week for ABC.

Nine easily claimed the demos 16-39 and 25-54.

Nine led on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Seven won Wednesday, Friday & Saturday. ABC bettered 10 on Sunday and Friday.

Nine was victorious in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane. Seven held in Adelaide & Perth strongholds.

Nine: The Block (Sun: 1.15m), Nine News (Sun: 1.06m), Ashes Series (Sun: 810,000) and A Current Affair (735,000).

Seven: Seven News (Sun: 977,000), Seven’s AFL (Fri: 850,000), Australia’s Got Talent (700,000) and Home and Away (612,000).

10: Australian Survivor (Mon: 815,000), Have You Been Paying Attention? (813,000), The Bachelor (Thurs: 797,000) and Gogglebox (625,000).

ABC: Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds (658,000), ABC News (Sun: 657,000), Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell (635,000) and Utopia (605,000).

SBS: 9/11: Escape from the Towers (264,000), 9/11: 102 Minutes that Changed America (261,000), Britain’s Most Historic Towns (225,000) and Inside North Korea’s Dynasty and Elizabeth (both 169,000).
