triple j’s One Night Stand heads to Lucindale

Hilltop Hoods, Meg Mac, Chelsea Manor amongst acts performing on the South Australian Limestone Coast.

triple j’s One Night Stand will take over the tiny regional town of Lucindale on the idyllic South Australian Limestone Coast on Saturday September 14. Entry is by gold coin donation.

Concert highlights will air in a two-hour rage special on ABC on Saturday 21 September.

With two weeks to go until the big event, we’re excited to announce a slew of special guests joining the party, including (in alphabetical order) A.B. Original, Didirri, Ecca Vandal, Illy, Jesswar, Kram, Nyassa and Timberwolf. Guests will join headline artists Hilltop Hoods, Meg Mac, Ocean Alley and G Flip for some very special covers and collaborations.

Plus we’re thrilled to introduce triple j Unearthed winners Chelsea Manor, who won the chance to open the stage at the One Night Stand. The Mount Gambier band make punk rock with a brooding edge, and you can expect big choruses and even bigger energy when they kick proceedings off on Saturday 14 September.

If you can’t make it to Lucindale, don’t worry! We’ll be playing you all the best bits in a special live broadcast on your radio and the triple j app on from 12pm Saturday 14 September. We’ll also be sharing videos, photos and music news via our socials and the triple j website throughout the day.

  1. One Night Stand is a very good concept where the people have to promote their town in a competition for them to host the concert. These sort of events should happen more often. Never heard of Lucindale until now. It must be great publicity for the town.

    Many years ago, Channel V on Foxtel had their Music Bus, which brought live bands to various towns. It was a great social initiative for bringing events to various towns and cities that would otherwise not have the events. Travelling to the events was part of the delight for spectators.
