Former AFL legend and FOX Footy presenter Danny Frawley has died, aged 56.

He died at he scene if a car crash, 20km east of Ballarat, this afternoon.

Patrick Delany, Foxtel CEO, and Peter Campbell, Head of FOX Sports issued a joint statement late today:

Words cannot convey our deep love and respect for Danny Frawley.

The FOX Sports family, and particularly FOX Footy, today lost one of its own – a leader, a man of incredible passion, insight and love for his family and for his game, AFL.

Our deepest love and wishes go to his wife Anita and their three daughters Chelsea, Danielle, and Keeley and to his many teammates, both in front and behind the camera.

It is a tragic time for all.

Danny gave us so many laughs and magic moments, from his playing days at St Kilda, coaching at Richmond and then his gifted touches at FOX Footy, as late as Saturday night on his favourite program, Bounce.

  1. I can’t believe it? Spud was a champion both on and off the field, thanks for the memories. Thinking of his family and all his footy friends. Sad day for AFL ❤️❤️

  2. Rarely been this sad at the passing of someone I don’t know. Feel like I knew him though. Have many fond memories of listening to him on The Rub on Triple M. Condolences to his family and friends.
