Airdate: FFA Cup 2019 Final

FOX Sports screens the FFA Cup 2019 Final Live in HD next week as Adelaide United go head-to-head against Melbourne City FC at Coopers Stadium, Adelaide.

Coverage begins from 7.00pm AEDT, with the Final kicking off at 7.30pm AEDT on FOX Sports 505.

Tara Rushton will host coverage with commentary from Robbie Slater, Simon Hill, Andy Harper and Robbie Cornthwaite.

FOX Sports’ expert commentator Simon Hill said: “The FFA Cup has quickly become an iconic and much loved part of the football landscape in Australia. We should have a fitting finale between two clubs with great Cup pedigree, and Coopers will be rocking, just like it was for last year’s Final.”

FOX Sports’ expert commentator Robbie Slater said: “The FFA Cup has been another enjoyable tournament this year and has shown the gap between the NPL teams and A-League clubs is getting closer.

“Adelaide United have again showed that they have a magic approach to this tournament. It’s their fourth time in the Final and they’ll be gunning for their third title.

“Adelaide haven’t lost an FFA Cup match at Coopers Stadium so will start the game as favourites, but you can’t write off Melbourne City who have been really good during this tournament.”

The Reds qualified for their third consecutive FFA Cup Final after beating Central Coast Mariners in a semi-final thriller, coming from behind at half-time to win 2-1.

Melbourne City secured their spot with a comfortable semi-final win against member federation team Brisbane Strikers, and are eager to reclaim the FFA Cup title they last won in 2016.

The Final precedes a blockbuster Saturday night featuring some of the biggest rivalries in football, Round 3 of the 2019/20 Hyundai A-League hosts the first Sydney derby between Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC set to light up Bankwest Stadium, before Spanish rivals FC Barcelona and Real Madrid go head-to-head for the first El Clásico of the 2019/20 La Liga season.
