Airdate: The Strange Chores

Misfit teens & a mischievous ghost are tasked with completing freaky and terrifying chores to become the next generation of monster hunters.

New supernatural animation The Strange Chores will air daily on ABC ME from Halloween.

Created by Ludo Studio (Bluey, Content) and co-produced by Media World Pictures (The Silver Brumby, The New Adventures of Ocean Girl), the 26 episode series features the voice cast of Julian Dennison (Hunt For The Wilderpeople, Deadpool 2), Charlotte Nicdao (Content, Get Krack!n), Michael Philippou (RackaRacka) and Nick Tate (A Cry In The Dark, Hook).

It also features the voices of guest stars Josh Lawson, Heather Mitchell, Jordan Raskopoulos and Josh Thomas.

In The Strange Chores two teenage wannabe heroes and a super-high spirited ghost team up to learn from the world’s greatest Monster Hunter, Old Man Helsing, by doing his strange, supernatural chores…

Helsing’s kooky house at the end of the street is secretly a base for protecting the world from monsters. Thinking he might be getting too old for this supernatural stuff, Helsing sees a chance to pair the misfit teens Charlie and Pierce with mischievous ghost Que and train them up as apprentices. The trio are tasked with completing freaky, bizarre and sometimes downright terrifying chores that will teach them everything they need to become the next generation of monster hunters.

The Strange Chores is created by Ludo Studio’s Daley Pearson and Charlie Aspinwall, directed and designed by Scott Vanden Bosch, produced by Charlie Aspinwall and Media World’s Colin South and executive produced by ABC’s Director of Entertainment and Specialist Michael Carrington.

The Strange Chores is a Ludo Studio and Media World Pictures production for the ABC, with major production investment from Screen Australia and the ABC, in association with Film Victoria and Screen Queensland.

Thursday 31st October at 7.45am on ABC ME.
