…and nothing is for 2021
Seven, Nine & 10 all confirm no show on their 2020 Upfronts slate is actually looking at a 2021 debut.

Upfronts are over for Seven, Nine and 10 (ABC & SBS are still to come), but if you identified a few 2020 shows that were supposed to screen in 2019 you’re not alone.
Doctor Doctor, Between Two Worlds, The Secrets She Keeps…. anyone?
But that’s the nature of TV.
Sometimes production gets pushed back due to unforeseen circumstances, and sometimes completed shows are at the whim of programmers.
And other times a network will tell me, “We meant production that year, not screening that year.” Riiiiight.
I’ve checked with Angus Ross at Seven, Hamish Turner at Nine and Daniel Monaghan at 10 -all 3 of whom have their finger on the programming pulse- in regards to their 2020 Upfronts.
All three have confirmed there are no shows announced in Upfronts with an intended debut of 2021.
So while there were a few “still to come” titles for 2019 (meaning they may not actually return in 2020), we can rule all shows out as being intended for 2021.

If this was a political and not a television blog, I think commentators would say you have ‘boxed them in’ : )
This time next year: “Here are the 2020 shows being pushed back to 2021”
I’m not sure if This Time Next year with Karl will return…. 😉
