  1. Previous seasons have been called “x factor – battle of the stars” so it’s nothing new. I don’t know why Simon feels the need to refresh x-factor every season. If it’s not broke why keep trying to fix it. Hopefully this will screen on Fox 8 this year as with previous years .

    1. There was one “Battle of the Stars” series way back in 2005, and it was so bad that Simon vowed never to do it again.

The show is broke – that’s why they’re desperately trying to fix it. As usual though the fixes Simon comes up with clearly won’t be the answer – very little love for both this and the upcoming All Stars series too, on the assumption that anyone with a credible career won’t be risking it all by going back on The X Factor.

ITV really should have pulled it this year and given The Masked Singer the slot (it’s being held back to air next year). Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions and Who Wants to be a Millionaire have taken the first 6 weeks of The X Factor slots, though BGT is of course a Syco production.
