A casting call has gone out for the next season of The Great Australian Bake Off.
“If you’re a Star Baker in the making, we’d love to hear from you!” a casting announcement states.
“You must be aged 16 years or above on the commencement of any auditions and/or filming of you for GABO and an Australian citizen or resident and will supply a copy of my birth certificate, passport or such other documentation as the Producer may require to confirm such.
“You must be an Australian citizen or resident.
“You cannot have completed any professional cooking or catering qualifications (such as tertiary or TAFE) in the last 10 years.
“All GABO contestants must be amateur cooks. You must warrant that you are not a professional chef, baker, caterer, recipe writer or food technologist nor have you worked professionally in this capacity for a total of more than 8 weeks in the last 8 years.”

Yay! they do such a terrific job of casting this every season and it’s such a ‘nice’ hour of TV to watch. Love it.
