Daylight Saving reminder

Queenslanders, Territorians and West Australians take note of how AEDT impacts your shows -and those spoilers!

Early on Sunday morning daylight saving takes effect in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT .

Queenslanders, Territorians and West Australians take note of how this impacts your shows -and those spoilers!

Sunrise, Today and News Breakfast will screen AEDT with delays for others -but News Breakfast remains Live on ABC News channel. Some have been known to switch Live into local regions when big news breaks, especially in relation to weather or bushfires.

The Morning Show, Today Extra, Studio 10, The Project, Insiders, The Daily Edition, 7:30, A Current Affair, The Drum will all air AEDT.

Q&A is AEDT but streams Live on iview.

Sports will also be affected over summer but the NRL Grand Final is live into ql

Fans of Reality TV will need to be mindful of social media use in order to avoid spoilers, notably for The Masked Singer, Love Island, The Bachelorette, The Block, The Amazing Race Australia, Bride & Prejudice etc.

Foxtel viewers not on AEDT will also need to remember those +2 channels as everything shifts by one hour.

And as I always say…. check your smoke detector battery too!

  1. After seeing the TV guide listings, it appears that TV programs that have been scheduled for broadcast in non-daylight savings states between 2:00AM and 3:00AM on Sunday are not being broadcast in the states/territories with daylight savings.

Viewers in the southern states/territory will miss out on numerous home shopping infomercial programming, among other programming on early Sunday morning.
