Some readers have been questioning the absence of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on E!.
Sadly it won’t be returning.
An E! spokesperson tells TV Tonight, “We have enjoyed having The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as part of our E! Australia family.
“As we bid farewell to The Tonight Show in Australia, we look forward to sharing a slate of exciting new and continuing programs for our viewers on E!”

I’m thinking maybe it’s time to cut ties with Foxtel as I miss TCM as well
One of my favourite shows. Hope it returns to Australian TV in some way. Wrote to SBS to try get it on their VICELAND channel. Even asked foxtel to put it back on comedy channel. But could be reduced to YouTube for awhile.
I quickly got sick of watching Fallon a few years ago. Same 7 jokes every night and he had to be in the middle of everything. The show is always about him. Every skit and game. Leno used to let the guests perform rather than having to be in it with them all the time.
E! Has Botched this ?
Does this mean that ABC Comedy can pick it up? They desperately need some first run content to show.
Anything is possible.
Think the commercialism is what stopped it in the first time.
