Jordan Anthony to sing We Will Rise at Junior Eurovision

14 year old Jordan Anthony will sing We Will Rise when he represents Australia at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, to be broadcast on ABC ME.

Perth-born Jordan was the youngest ever finalist on The Voice. He will follow in the footsteps of Isabella Clarke and Jael Wena, in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland in November.

The song was composed and co-written by Jordan Anthony and MSquared Productions (Michael Paynter and Michael Delorenzis) and the music video was filmed at ABC Ultimo. Jordan is represented by ABC Music, and We Will Rise is released worldwide today on all major digital music services.

The film clip perfectly highlights his strengths as pianist and delivers a personal and bold message to children all over the world. The countdown to Poland begins!” said Libbie Doherty, Head of ABC Children’s Production.

A passionate singer, songwriter and pianist, Jordan has been performing from a young age and penned his first song at just 7 years old. Drawing from personal experiences to write his original music, Jordan co-wrote We Will Rise to celebrate inner strength and inspire hope during trying times and as a nod to this year’s theme – Share The Joy! “Music for me is the ultimate form of expression and I wrote this song to share a message of hope. When people listen to my songs I want them to relate and know they are not alone” said Jordan.

This year 19 countries will give their all at JESC. Held on Sunday 24 November in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland the show will be broadcast on ABC ME during a very special family television event on Monday 25 November. Once again Australians will also be able to vote online for their favourite JESC 2019 performer, and ABC ME is rallying all Australians to get behind JESC 2019 and celebrate all the young performers competing.
