Netflix sci-fi starring Katee Sackhoff is getting 10 more episodes.

Netflix sci-fi Another Life has been renewed for a second season by Netflix.

The streaming platform has renewed the series for 10 more episodes.

The series starring Katee Sackhoff centres around a crew of astronauts exploring the genesis of an alien artefact … who are suddenly forced to fight for their lives.

The 10 episode series by Aaron Martin (Slasher, Saving Hope, Degrassi: The Next Generation) also features Jake Abel, Samuel Anderson, Tyler Hoechlin and Selma Blair.

Production is set to resume next year in Vancouver but a premiere date hasn’t yet been set.

  1. Loved this show. My only problem with it is as soon as you start to fall in love with a character they are killed off. So happy it’s back for another season.

  2. I struggled to get past the crew, none of which would be chosen for such an important mission, besides Katee. I noticed that ‘replacements’ are available on the ship, so i’m hoping some older and more capable crew members fitler down into the show. Outside of the crew, I enjoyed the basic story and graphics, just wish they didn’t have to lurch from one disaster to another, which to be fair is mainly due to the inept crew, hence my first point.

I’ll give a second season a go, so happy with it’s renewal.

  3. I struggled with this series and gave it a thumbs down on Netflix. I real shame because I like Katee Sackhoff. In the end I just wanted to push most characters into the escape hatch and press the red button. There’s always a red button right?

  4. I’ve really liked this series, it gets better with each episode and the characters get more developed.
I mean, it’s the sexiest friendliest open sexually space crew I’ve ever seen, but that aside, I like its soapy action/drama.

  5. I didn’t mind Another Life, it’s the kind of American / Canadian show that looks designed for a long run so I didn’t think it would end up having one season, though some critics did. The show now has another chance to improve Katee Sackhoff’s role and to get some sci-fi veterans both actors and writers who understand the genre working on the show to liven it up a bit.

  6. We’ve just finished this. It borrows heavily (depending on the episode) from Event Horizon, War Of the Worlds, Star Trek, the Matrix and yes, Battlestar Galactica, but I enjoyed the romp and wanna see what happens next.
