ABC’s Head of Drama, Comedy and Indigenous, Sally Riley said: “After last season’s dramatic cliff-hanger, we’re thrilled to be bringing Harrow back for a third season. The amazing cast, compelling cases and stunning Queensland locations have proven a hit with our broadcast and iview audiences and we can’t wait to continue the adventure.

Hoodlum’s Tracey Robertson said “Hoodlum is thrilled to embark on a third season of Harrow with our talented cast and crew. The series brings together a unique mix of dry wit, compelling drama and forensic procedural and has established itself a firm favourite with audiences in Australia and around the world. Season three will mean thirty hours produced and this could only be possible with a shared vision and the ongoing support of our partners at ABC Studios, ABC Australia and Screen Queensland.”

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk – whose Government has supported the series through Screen Queensland said, “We are delighted to welcome back another season of Harrow to Brisbane. Queensland has become the location of choice for all kinds of screen and stream productions including Harrow which is an excellent showcase of Queensland’s world-class screen industry capability. My government is proud to continue to support the screen industry because it creates jobs, boosts tourism and promotes our international reputation. I look forward to the next season of Harrow.”

When a young man who claims to be Harrow’s son turns up dead, everyone including Harrow is stunned – but is the dead young man really Harrow’s boy? While tirelessly pursuing the truth in a host of compelling episodic cases, Harrow is also driven to unravel the mystery of his supposedly dead son and finds himself entangled in a dangerous criminal underworld. But when those closest to Harrow are threatened, he will face an impossible choice. How far will Harrow go to save the people he loves?

Harrow was co-created by writer Stephen M. Irwin (Australia Day, Wake in Fright, Secrets & Lies) and Leigh McGrath (Australia Day, Secrets & Lies, The Strange Calls), and will again be produced by Hoodlum’s Tracey Robertson and Nathan Mayfield.

  1. Ioan Gruffudd certainly keeps himself busy and he must love the travel, but Harrow is good value TV and highlights what can be achieved with Australian dramas if it has a good cast and writing.
There’s no reason why Harrow shouldn’t continue after season 3 if it remains popular and sells overseas, Ioan has a liking for long running shows, the only issue is that the current plot will need some change, so the Brisbane location may move to NSW which will not please some Queensland fans.
