Pennyworth has been renewed for a second season.
10 new episodes will begin production in January.
The one-hour drama, written by Bruno Heller, follows Bruce Wayne’s butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier who goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), who has not yet become Bruce Wayne’s father, in 1960s London.
The cast also includes Emma Paetz, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett, Ryan Fletcher, Dorothy Atkinson, Ian Puleston-Davies, Polly Walker, Paloma Faith, and Jason Flemyng.
“Pennyworth has been a big hit for us, embraced by critics and fans alike. It was the highest-performing original series ever to premiere on Epix, more than doubling the viewership of the shows that came before it,” said Epix president Michael Wright in a statement.
“Bruno Heller, Danny Cannon and WBTV have delivered a brilliant, must watch series. We can’t wait to work with this phenomenal cast and creative team on another exciting season.”
It airs in Australia on FOX8.

I really enjoyed this, happy that it has been renewed.
I’m not a fan of US drama but I’m loving this on Fox8 and Paloma Faith is very scary .
Only love can hurt like this indeed! She is amazingly intimidating in this. A complete whack job.
This was so much better than anyone would have expected. I’m glad it’s getting a second season!
Totally agree!!
