US dark comedy-drama Why Women Kill has been renewed for a second season.
The series from Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids), stars Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.
It follows the lives of three women living in three different decades: a housewife in the 1960s, a socialite in the 1980s and a lawyer in 2019, each dealing with infidelity in their marriages.
“Why Women Kill has had a phenomenal first season,” Julie McNamara, CBS All Access’ EVP of Original Content, said in a statement. “Under the creative direction of Marc Cherry and the incredible performances of the cast, the series has become one of our most streamed original series. We look forward to bringing fans even more of this wonderfully soapy dramedy in its second season and can’t wait to see what themes Marc explores next.”
It screens in Australia at 10 All Access.

yep – agree with the other comments… This is prime time TV…. a great show with profile actors and the Desperate Housewives pedigree! Off with their heads at 10! 🙂
TEN really have wasted this opportunity. We watched the final episode last night and the entire series is brilliant. This type of show is exactly what people have been asking to see on TV as it’s different to everything we have on at the moment. Cleverly written and superb acting performances by all the cast. Promote this as the new Desperate Housewives and see what happens. Should be on main channel too
Would be nice if 10 put in a little more effort promoting the few original or exclusive series that the SVOD service carries locally.
They are well behind others both in content and promotion. Aussies are not taking this service seriously, because 10 isn’t.
