ABC has fast-tracked a new season of  The Last Leg, returning to screens from tonight.

And yep the beard is back.

  1. Any answers on the missing return last night?

Only wonder if the calling of the UK general election suddenly made half the content of the episode stale and ABC make a quick decision to drop it?

Was definitely listed in the printed TV guides as returning last night…was livid when QI came on instead.

    1. I’m advised the first episode did air on ABC Comedy as advertised on Tuesday night. However, ABC then received advice mid-morning yesterday that there were rights restrictions which prevented them from showing this particular episode in Australia hence the late schedule change on ABC main. Adam Hills should still play out as scheduled for next week.

      1. Well they’re actually screening QI at the moment. Even more confusing, if you check the ABC Comedy channel epg (on the ABC website) for last night, the listing for The Last Leg for 8:00pm says: “Repeated on Wednesday 30 Oct at 9:55 PM, ABC”.

  2. As with recent seasons, this actually screens first on Tuesday (8:00pm) on ABC Comedy. Which I forgot about last night. And the ABC haven’t put it up on iview yet. Maybe they forgot too.

    1. Yeah, I watched this first ep of the new season last night on ABC Comedy. And with Mock the Week back this Friday on BBC, I have high hopes of seeing that on ABC Comedy next week!

        1. Thursday 8:30 on ABC Comedy. Look forward to “Boris Gump 2” for the stand-up round (or another “You Brexit You Brought It”, something to do with Brexit).

  3. It’s good that there will be current episodes of The Last Leg. ABC had been showing very dated episodes in the past in prominent time slots, which were almost pointless to show because many of the discussions on the show are based on the current news cycle of the week.

    1. For what it’s worth, Adam isn’t wearing it for fashion reasons ~ he committed to not shaving it until the whole Brexit situation is resolved. Its hideousness has become quite the apt visual metaphor.

      1. Yeah, he said on last night’s new episode that he is really over the beard. But a deal is a deal. Adam’s ugly beard is reason enough to get Brexit finally dealt with!
