Season Two of Castle Rock begins on FOX Showcase later this month, to screen same day as the US.
The first three episodes will also be available to stream at Foxtel On Demand.
Introducing a brand new story and characters, Lizzy Caplan joins the cast as budding psychopath Annie Wilkes (Stephen King’s nurse-from-hell in Misery), who with her home-schooled daughter Joy (Elsie Fisher), gets waylaid in the town just as a feud between warring clans reaches fever pitch.
Tim Robbins plays Reginald “Pop” Merrill, a Castle Rock resident, dying of cancer and at a reckoning with his family as his nephew John “Ace” Merrill (Paul Sparks – House of Cards ) is set to take over the family business and causing problems with the Somali community in nearby Jerusalem’s Lot.
Actress Yusra Warsam plays as a Somali-born, Harvard-educated director of a hospital in Jerusalem’s Lot, and Academy Award nominee Barkhad Abdi as her brother, whose push to build a Somali community centre will put him in conflict with ‘Ace’ Merrill.
Castle Rock show runners return with Executive Producers Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason along with Stephen King, J.J. Abrams and Ben Stephenson.
Thursday, October 24 at 7.30pm on FOX Showcase.
