Returning: Silicon Valley

Time to pay the Pied Piper....in a sixth and final season.

Time to pay the Pied Piper….

The sixth and final season of Silicon Valley will screen same day as the US from late October on the Comedy channel.

The sixth and final season of Mike Judge and Alec Berg’s tech-skewering comedy opens with Pied Piper, after years of false starts, bigger than ever before and now a legitimate presence in Silicon Valley, having separated themselves from the competition with their commitment to not mine user data. Yet, as they soon learn, staying true to your morals comes at a price in a business that is fast-moving and cutthroat.

A major player in the industry, reluctant leader Richard (Thomas Middleditch) continues to struggle with how to balance his integrity with the insane amounts of money dangled in front of him. Despite officially having Monica (Amanda Crew) on his team, Richard risks losing Jared (Zach Woods), who feels out of place at the new Pied Piper and is drawn back to the hacker hostel, now co-run by Big Head (Josh Brener) and Jian-Yang (Jimmy O. Yang). Meanwhile, at Pied Piper’s expansive offices, Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) and Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) face the responsibilities of being managers of large teams. And, refusing to abandon his company even as it is being gutted, Gavin Belson (Matt Ross) pivots in an anti-tech direction.

As the Pied Piper guys deal with the stress of managing a growing organisation and the uncomfortable social situations that come along with that, Silicon Valley promises a conclusion that’s funny, smart and fitting for our forever- awkward tech heroes.

Silicon Valley is executive produced by Mike Judge, Alec Berg, Michael Rotenberg, Tom Lassally, Clay Tarver, Jim Kleverweis and Lew Morton.

Monday October 28 at 9:00pm on Comedy.

  1. Let’s hope that Silicon Valley does have a fitting end and not divert too much from the gradual build up the story provided for Pied Piper’s eventual success as a software company, but this is a comedy and full of angst and self loathing, in the final episode of the final season Richard at least will likely want to return to the less complicated life he had at the shows start. We’ll see.
