  1. Is 7 overreacting just a bit? I mean there daily shows all do really well in the ratings – Sunrise, The Chase and News consistently winning their slots. Surely the only thing that really needs to change is their primetime, 7.30pm shows? And yes this is the key time for TV, but consistency is also important, as 7 have in the morning and early evening.

    1. Clarification: not saying these changes are bad, cost-cutting makes sense in this landscape. But the attitude that they need a complete refresh is maybe not necessary?

      1. This is the usual claptrap trotted out every time a company is on the skids and the CEO shafted for a new one. The old “clear the decks”.

“I am delighted to work with James again and be a part of Seven’s transformation towards a more audience- centric group, with a strong focus on delivering engaging broadcast and digital content,” is just gibberish.
