Socceroo vs Chinese Taipei on FOX Sports

The Socceroos will take another step towards the 2022 FIFA World Cup, in Taiwan tonight.

The Socceroos will take another step towards the 2022 FIFA World Cup when they clash with Chinese Taipei in Taiwan, Live on FOX Sports at 10:40pm AEDT.

The Socceroos currently sit atop Group B in Asian Qualification following convincing wins over Kuwait and Nepal.

Adam Peacock will be joined by Mark Bosnich and Robbie Slater to preview the clash from 10.00pm AEDT.

Simon Hill and former Socceroo Andy Harper commentate the match held at Kaohsiung National Stadium, from 10.40pm AEDT.

Former Socceroo Bosnich said: “The Socceroos will start this game as raging hot favourites, but it’s important for Graham Arnold’s men that they continue to improve. We’ll see some new faces in this Australian team and it will be exciting to see how they go.

“I know Arnold has called on his team to be more ruthless with the chances that they create and I’d be looking for them execute better against Chinese Taipei.

“These games are always tricky away from home, but if the Socceroos want to qualify for the 2022 World Cup then these are the type of games that they have to win and win well.”

  1. “Chinese Taipei” doesn’t exist. Taipei is a city in Taiwan. Our household refuses to refer to “Chinese Taipei”. So shameful that the IOC and others like FIFA bow to the demands of China to exclude “Taiwan” from sports unless they are renamed. “Taiwan” was used at the Tokyo Games. In 1979, China agreed to participate in IOC activities if Taiwan was referred to as “Chinese Taipei”. No, we are 100% Australian-British with a bit of Filipino.
