Sunday Night silent on its role in Molly, Elton feud.
Sunday Night hopes Molly's rift with Elton can be healed. But fails to mention it was part of the problem.

It was back in 2012 when a falling out took place between Molly and Elton John. The two had bickered before but always managed to reconcile. Not this time.
It stemmed from a Sunday Night interview where a candid conversation between the two, which both believed was private, was caught by cameras. Elton referred to Madonna as a “fairground stripper.” It made headlines around the world after Sunday Night put it to air.
Elton’s camp said the comments were “off the record” while Molly would later say, “We did the interview and, really, the bit about Madonna was more him and I talking while we were doing cutaways.
“But unfortunately some of that was on sound and no one, when it came back to Australia, ever thought it was not part of the interview, so they just went with it. It is just one of those things, you know.”
Last night in an earnest plea by Molly to have the rift repaired Sunday Night made no reference to its role in the fallout. If Mel Doyle asked the question about the show’s sticky fingers it did not make the cut. Funny that.
Sunday Night even has the offending footage with Elton. It did not hit replay.
Sunday Night, which was recently axed by Seven due to low ratings and rising costs, has surely done some good work over the past decade.
Last night they missed a chance to really be Sunday Night: True Stories.

If Sunday Night can’t address their own situation within this story, then they don’t deserve to be on air. I can’t believe they didn’t even address it, instead Mel went soft asking what Molly would to say to him if he saw this show.
Not Sunday Nights fault in my opinion. Elton said it, he should own it. He’s probably said far worse to Madonna’s face anyway, such a drama queen.
They’re like old sisters that won’t make up over something so petty
Old sisters, that’s kind I was thinking of other adjective and noun.
Remember Sunday night cane about to get Mel of sunrise. Surprised it lasted this long
Sunday Night was around long before Mel Doyle hosted it, it was originally hosted by Chris Bath and Mike Munroe.
Correct.
Yeah but her “7pm” news bulletin got axed so they had to stick her somewhere.
Don’t expect 7 to take responsibility for anything they do. They don’t seem to be very good at that.
