US renews Holey Moley by Eureka

Extreme mini-golf competition from Aussie producers is heading to a second season in the USA.

Extreme mini-golf competition Holey Moley has been renewed by ABC network in the USA.

The series hails from Aussie-based Eureka Productions and US-based Unanimous Media. Pro-golfer Stephen Curry, Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, Charles Wachter, Michael O’Sullivan, Jeron Smith, and Erick Peyton serve as executive producers.

Every episode consists of three rounds of golf, culminating with three finalists taking on the daunting “Mt. Holey Moley” finale in a three-way contest. One winner per episode takes home the $25,000 prize, along with “The Golden Putter” trophy and Holey Moley jacket.

In its second season, eight competitors face a course “bigger and better than ever,” with all-new holes.

An Australian broadcaster is yet to join in the Holey Moley fun…

  1. It’s basically Wipeout meats Golf (it’s filmed on the old Wipeout course) – and to be fair Nine did a pretty decent job with the Australian version of Wipeout, but sadly it just didn’t do well enough to get beyond it’s first season.

  2. I watched an episode on Youtube and was pleasantly surprised. With the Cannes TV festival on this week I’m guessing this will be remade in a lot other countries. Nine would be the best fit for here in my view.
