US veteran actor John “Jack” Shelton Clarke, who spent 39 years on Days of Our Lives, has died, aged 88.
He passed away from complications of pneumonia on October 16. He previously suffered a stroke in 2007 and had been in declining health in the last few years.
Clarke played “Mickey Horton” for 176 episodes of Days of Our Lives from 1965 – 2004, retiring because of health concerns. He was replaced in the role by John Ingle, who in 2006.
Other TV credits include The New Breed, Gunsmoke, The FBI, Death Valley Days, The Twilight Zone; Maverick and Hawaiian Eye.

He was great as Mickey Horton in Days. It was a shame he left early due to ill health. R.I.P.
