  1. The previous NYE broadcast with the Countdown concert and bands/artists were widely praised and well received compared to the more previous NYE broadcasts. It was successful compared to the NYE broadcasts from years before that were complained about and had gaffes and mistakes.

I grew up listening to The Black Sorrows, Frente! and Grinspoon, so it will be great nostalgia. The nostalgia of the music, guests and bands/artists from the past was a highlight of last year’s NYE broadcasts. Notably, the Pub Quiz was missing from last year’s broadcast which took away some of the comedy. While it may not be as significant as Y2K, the dawn of the new decade is still quite significant.
