ACA: Cam & Jules wedding

It's a 90 minute ACA special as a former MAFS couple officially tie the knot.

A Current Affair will screen a 90 minute special on Tuesday as former Married at First Sight couple Cameron Merchant and Jules Robinson officially tie the knot.

They are the first participants from the show to legally get married (S1’s Zoe Hendrix and Alex Garner had a baby prior to separation).

Nine doesn’t indicate that the wedding is Live to air.

It was the love story which captivated Australia when ex-pro cricketer Cam & businesswoman Jules first met on the hit show, and fans have been glued to their blossoming love story ever since, which saw Cam proposing at the show’s conclusion.

Sylvia Jeffreys will be on-hand to cover their journey every step of the way, as viewers gain a behind-the-scenes look at their bucks and hen’s night celebrations, shopping for rings, planning the wedding and much more.

Other MAFS favourites will be along for the ride in an emotional A Current Affair special not to be missed.

7pm Tuesday on Nine.

    1. Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t Channel Nine air MAFS and not Seven? I am asking this because if MAFS was on Seven, then Nine would call MAFS a sham that trivialises marriage. But because it is Nine, they wouldn’t criticise it. Nine thinks its holier than thou when it comes to shows like this. And now their flagship “current affairs” program is having a 90 minute special on some wedding of two people who met on Nine’s reality show.

    1. Here’s hoping that success strikes twice for ACA with this wedding. And I will be contributing to this success by watching The Amazing Race Australia on Tuesday night.

  1. Don’t they have a landlord or car dealership owner to chase? what absolute rubbish. ACA loves to gain it’s credibility then flush it down the toilet with these pathetic stunts.

    1. Sorry, but ACA has no credibility. That’s why they often do stunts such as this to get as much money from advertisers as possible. At the end of the day, this stunt is about ratings and higher ratings means more money from advertisers, and more money from advertisers means more profits. This is what this is really about at the end of the day, profits for its owners. That’s why this is being done, even though it has no value whatsoever for ordinary people. The question that should be asked is this: will Nine’s bosses be watching this on Tuesday night? Most probably not.

  2. Silly as it may be I think a lot of people will enjoy some romance and joy at this time after all the dreadful bushfires and droughts. I bet it rates through the roof for ACA.

  3. Why not ? No more non- newsworthy than most of ACA’s content these days. As a side note, they’re a very attractive couple, and so far removed from some of the trashy participants on MAFS. I wish them well.

    1. Tragically, this is real. Firstly, how much money is being thrown at this non-news story when there is more important things to worry about such as the bushfires in Australia or conflicts overseas? And wouldn’t it be a better use of resources if ACA covered the real news for a change? But no, as ACA is all about maximising ratings for advertisers and sadly, this wedding is about ratings and is not newsworthy. There is much more important things to worry about than a MAFS wedding and ACA must realise that people are more interested in actual news and not this tripe.

  4. Oh God No! Current affairs is news of the day, not a reality television wedding (especially if it is trash like Married At First Sight). Good thing I deleted Nine from my TV so I don’t have to watch this tripe.
