ABC screens a spectacle staged with a full-size replica of Edinburgh Castle in Sydney.

ABC will screen the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, which was staged with a full-size replica of Edinburgh Castle in Sydney.

Hosted by ABC’s Jeremy Fernandez and Kumi Taguchi, with backstage interviews by Russell Torrance, this event includes a cast of more than 1500.

Fourteen nations from around the world are represented, including the UK, Switzerland, France, Tonga, Fiji, Cook Islands, New Zealand and Australia as well as for the first time ever, acts from Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Samoa and Vanuatu.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Sydney 2019 features all the hallmark elements of this world-famous military and cultural event, including traditional crowd favourite songs Auld Lang Syne and Scotland The Brave and contemporary favourites, as well as a special performance by John Paul Young, singing his much-loved classic, Love Is In The Air, joined by the entire cast of the Sydney 2019 Tattoo.

The event features world-class pipes and drums, military marching, traditional and colourful costumes, and breath-taking special effects.
