  1. For being a TAR superfan, are these ratings concerning whether we get a Season 5 or not? Should we be worried about a possible cancellation of the series again?

    1. These ratings are quite similar to Ten’s first Survivor season. It has picked up a lot now though. Ten are good at sticking with shows until they work.

  2. No surprise to me at all that last night’s TARA episode was a non elimination. They were due for one and I was happy because I like the Mum and daughter team. That’s why they say may be eliminated but they definitely usually have a penalty for the next round in the US version.

  3. I may have dream’t it but I’m sure I saw an ad a couple of weeks ago saying The Amazing Race Australia was going to have someone eliminated each round yet last night was a non elimination round. Does anyone else remember that ad? I don’t agree in non-elimination rounds personally. I don’t think its fair but that’s just my opinion. I agree that Beau gives it his special touch. Not sold on the hugging of contestants part but the rest I think he is doing a great job. A good selection of contestants too representing all walks of Australian life.

    1. Non-Eliminations Rounds are a feature of every version of the show – I think you were dreaming about that advert and it does seam unlikely that any version will not feature at least one Non-Elim

    2. The ad said there would be an elimination every week, not every episode. Non-eliminations always happen. I liked it in the early episodes where Phil took all their money and possessions leaving contestants running in the same clothes for the rest of the race.

  4. Ridiculous non elimination on TARA last night. If you’re going to do that at least have another purpose to the episode like an advantage for the winning team. On Studio 10 today Beau Ryan even admitted it was supposed to be an elimination but a few strings were pulled. I know it’s only reality tv but what the….

    1. Every series in the US has included a penalty for coming last in a non-elimination leg that occurs in the following leg. There’s been time penalty’s and also extra tasks that the team has to complete.
