Similar figures last Monday as well – the only thingy to get over a million on a Monday for the past 4 weeks has been 10’s Masked Singer.
For being a TAR superfan, are these ratings concerning whether we get a Season 5 or not? Should we be worried about a possible cancellation of the series again?
I wouldn’t panic. It’s all been done quite fast, the reaction has been mostly good and 10 knows it has to stick with things. I would be optimistic about what they can do with more time.
These ratings are quite similar to Ten’s first Survivor season. It has picked up a lot now though. Ten are good at sticking with shows until they work.
We had a power outage right on 8.30 so I missed the end of Amazing Race. Wasn’t happy!!! Came back on just as HYBPA was starting though.
Well, you’re so lucky that it was a non-elimination leg…
Monday night and nothing over one-million viewers.
Are the suits worried?
Cup eve in Melb may have been a contributing factor.
No surprise to me at all that last night’s TARA episode was a non elimination. They were due for one and I was happy because I like the Mum and daughter team. That’s why they say may be eliminated but they definitely usually have a penalty for the next round in the US version.
Some of the Pre-Show information did outline that there is a Non-Elim penalty of the Speedbump – They’ll show it tomorrow.
I may have dream’t it but I’m sure I saw an ad a couple of weeks ago saying The Amazing Race Australia was going to have someone eliminated each round yet last night was a non elimination round. Does anyone else remember that ad? I don’t agree in non-elimination rounds personally. I don’t think its fair but that’s just my opinion. I agree that Beau gives it his special touch. Not sold on the hugging of contestants part but the rest I think he is doing a great job. A good selection of contestants too representing all walks of Australian life.
Non-Eliminations Rounds are a feature of every version of the show – I think you were dreaming about that advert and it does seam unlikely that any version will not feature at least one Non-Elim
The ad said there would be an elimination every week, not every episode. Non-eliminations always happen. I liked it in the early episodes where Phil took all their money and possessions leaving contestants running in the same clothes for the rest of the race.
Ridiculous non elimination on TARA last night. If you’re going to do that at least have another purpose to the episode like an advantage for the winning team. On Studio 10 today Beau Ryan even admitted it was supposed to be an elimination but a few strings were pulled. I know it’s only reality tv but what the….
There are non-eliminations in the US but if I recall they come with handicaps.
Every series in the US has included a penalty for coming last in a non-elimination leg that occurs in the following leg. There’s been time penalty’s and also extra tasks that the team has to complete.
I’m enjoying TARA, I was loving that the Instagramers were failing and had the U-turn. I’m hoping they’re the next team to be eliminated.
I am loving TARA, and Beau is the right amount of light relief the show needs, a great choice in host!
I love The Amazing Race but I keep turning to 7 or Plus7 to watch it. 10 have done a great job and to my surprise, Beau Ryan is winning me over.
