Bachelorette leads, as Seven wins Thursday.

Ratings: Love Island wraps but a "Winner Announced" backfires for Nine.

In preliminary figures The Bachelorette finale drew 848,000, but rose to 992,000 for the moment Angie chose Carlin over Timm, which ranked at #1.

That was up on 2018’s finale with Ali Oetjen of 766,000 / 926,000 but still less than Sophie Monk’s 1.32m/ 1.64m.

It was also well in front of the competition:  Seven Worlds One Planet (564,000) Home and Away (510,000 extended from 7pm), 7:30 (469,000) and Grand Designs Australia (351,000 from 8pm).

Later The Good Doctor was 408,000, then Trial by Kyle (320,000 from 9pm), and a Love Island Australia finale, bumped to a 9:10 start, at 302,000. Interestingly a “Winner Announced” moment backfired -at just 249,000.

By comparison LI was up on 2018’s 198,000 finale but only because that screened on 9GO!

  1. Maybe they shouldve just left Love Island since RBT (i think that’s what was scheduled) seemed to flunk.
No doubt even though it’s low, Home and Away will now start winning the 7:30 hour with the others trailing behind in the 300k figures.

  2. And that’s the end of that chapter for Love Island ,on another note I’ve not really tuned into the new Attenborough show ,seen alot before and I think it’s time to call it a day even though it’s the BBC’s cash cow , we’ve seen so much before as has been mentioned.

    1. I have stopped watching the Attenborough series as they seem to be using the same footage and repackaging under different themes and topics. I have recorded this series and will see how I go.
