Melbourne Cup tops ratings race

Ratings: 10 race leads ratings week but Nine is now on the home stretch.

10’s return to Spring Racing Carnival was led by the Melbourne Cup race which topped the ratings week at 1.44m viewers (adjusted from 1.32m Overnight).

That was down on 2018’s 1.9m amid a controversy of protests and some social media negativity over coverage. But across the week 10 claimed a Reach of 4.1 million people (metro + regional). Reach equates to the amount of viewers who watched 5 minutes or more.

With the finish line in sight however, it was another winning week for Nine.
